I live in the northwest also. I love it here. I’m just south of you on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. In the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. It is a place that comforts and heals.
Looks like you are in a good place. Thank you for the video, I especially enjoyed seeing the little kids having fun and being interested in the world around them. Was that a drone film?
Looks like a great place to be! Does being behind a lens (drone, phone or camera) help your social anxiety? At times, I've used a camera to be present yet apart.
Carol, yes. The effort required to frame up and capture the shots I want helps me stay focused and mitigates my anxiety. It’s still present, but not as “loud.”
This is so amazing and I laud your appreciation of our “little” community in the midst of urban sprawl. I love it so much because I am close enough to enjoy all the amazing offerings of urban life but live in my safe little town nestled up against the foothills. We have a gift here and appreciate your artistic view. We do need to bump up our 21st century game and you clearly are part of that process!! ❤️
Stay tuned - more to come. Thanks for the comment. I am running for the town council with a plan for 21st century stuff. If you're interested in that sort of thing, I built a website: https://gowilkeson.org/

I've been through your area, and yes, it is beautiful!

Susan,
The video production came from a drone and a DSLR combined.
Love this. You are composing a piece of art. And sharing your world. More!
Thank you. Go vote for the next video subject matter!
I went with the lake - looks like it has a lot of support :)

Same for me. Unfortunately, now my DSL is broken.

Your website is very nice. Good luck on your campaign!
Thank you from a former NorCal kid.
