Kudos, Pen. This is wonderful. You have a huge and generous heart.
A few years ago, I enjoyed volunteering for the Great Dog Rescue of New England. My "job" was to perform the home visit before an adoption was finalized. I met the new owners and walked the home and property. It was a formality but sometimes I would spot safety issues. I think I vetoed only three of all the many visits. Mostly I met kind dog loving folks. For the ones getting their first pup, I could help with some tips.
But the people that impressed me the most were those folks willing to take older dogs to see them through their last years.
The Pandemic put a halt to that work. But it had been a wonderful way to spend my time.
This post brought a spark of joy...thinking of your home, filled with love and generosity at the start of this holiday season.

Dog is my co-pilot.
You two are rock stars! Senior dogs are the best. Happy holidays.
You’re getting and giving love this holiday season! Cheers!
Good on you, Sir. Those are three lucky dogs. Merry Christmas.
Three babies! I can't wait. 🧡 💙 🩷
