I have been thinking about the chat feature Substack recently added to the mix. You need an iPhone to use the feature (for now). Tell me what you want to hear about in the future. No topic is off-limits.
In the future, I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app (messages are sent via the app, not email). Turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a chance to join the conversation as it happens.

Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.

How can we preserve our Republic and Democracy? I recently listened to Rachel Maddow’s podcast ULTRA. We have been here before... does freedom mean we have to constantly battle potential overthrow? It seems more frightening today because of the hatred and vast array of weaponry.
