Never vote Republican (again)
The Republican party is a death cult that does not deserve your support and will kill you and your children
Take your pandemic recovery and shove it — Donald Trump
“Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people — does not even pretend to try.” — Retired General James Mattis
Presidents of the United States of America have always been held to a different, but not higher, standard than the common citizen. That is because, while the United States is good at pretending that we have no place for class systems and double standards, the office of the President is imbued with way too much power for one person. Which is very obvious during the time of Donald J. Trump.
What do you do when one party allows the machinations of the state to run at the behest of a man who is held to no standard at all? What is supposed to happen in the disastrous aftermath of a leader who is not a leader? He is a very stable genius who is both moronic and completely unpredictable, as well as being afflicted with malignant narcissism, a dangerous psychological diagnosis.
The Pied Piper of Fools is in session, and the Covid droplets are spraying everywhere. Maybe your grandfather has died by now, or maybe his statistical chances are all that’s at risk. Do not worry, if you continue to vote Republican it will help decrease grandpa’s life. Donald Trump is a symptom, not the disease. The disease is multi-faceted, and I will be writing more about the root causes that keep it alive in future posts. However, here is what you I would like you to consider for the moment:
Global warming is real and it will kill you (and your children)
Imaginary sky daddy is not real but belief in it will kill you (and your children)
The Republican party is very real and it must lie to stay in power, which it is currently very willing to do. Voting for Republicans will kill you (and your children)
All the social media programming that attempts to continue to divide Americans is predicated on the simple reality that Republicans have nothing to offer except a glorified past in which the United States has never done any wrong and has always been blessed by imaginary sky daddy. This is wrong, and it prevents human progress while causing pointless human suffering. The Democrats are far from perfect as a party, but they are not a death cult like the Republican party.
Four more years of allowing the party of alternative facts, which are also lies, to continue defrauding future generations, would be utterly disastrous. Do not vote Republican. Now, or for the rest of your life.
Educated people with actual leadership values understand this. That is why 780 experienced national security leaders signed off on an open letter that reads in part:
“The next president will inherit a nation – and a world – in turmoil. The current President has demonstrated he is not equal to the enormous responsibilities of his office; he cannot rise to meet challenges large or small. Thanks to his disdainful attitude and his failures, our allies no longer trust or respect us, and our enemies no longer fear us. Climate change continues unabated, as does North Korea’s nuclear program. The president has ceded influence to a Russian adversary who puts bounties on the heads of American military personnel, and his trade war against China has only harmed America’s farmers and manufacturers. The next president will have to address those challenges while struggling with an economy in a deep recession and a pandemic that has already claimed more than 200,000 of our fellow citizens. America, with 4% of the world’s population suffers with 25% of the world’s COVID-19 cases. Only FDR and Abraham Lincoln came into office facing more monumental crises than the next president.”
The Republican party put Agent Orange in office, and thereby put nails into its own coffin. Long after it was obvious to anyone paying attention that Trump is a con man who is severely mentally ill, the Republican party and its dishonest, suicidal leadership continue to double down on lies and bullshit.
Examples of the lies and bullshit:
I know it can be overwhelming. This year is an assault on reality that comes at the end of a long string of Republican assaults on reality.
Do not be numb. I am not numb. Numbness can kill you or your family. That is the thing to remember. This is a fight, flight, or freeze moment in history. I choose to fight, and part of that fight is that I will never, ever again vote for a Republican. Neither should you.
