MAGA has radicalized my worldview

I have not posted here for months. In fact, since Trump was inaugurated for the second time, I have been mourning. I have been hoping that there were adults that would be stepping forward to put a stop to the parasitic kakistocracy we are now living in. It hasn’t happened. It is not going to happen. Unless we, the people who do not want power, step forward. Unless we say this is not happening while I still breathe.

I’ve been to war twice in my life. All I wanted afterwards was to be left alone to try and understand what I lived through, and to heal. Unfortunately, events dictate otherwise. I do not get to be left alone.

The current administration of the executive branch of the United States federal government is parasitic. It has subverted all of the checks and balances that were supposed to protect the rights of individual Americans (and all humans that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction.) The legislative branch is corrupt. The judicial branch is compromised by sniveling, self-interested, illegitimate cowards who are unfit to serve in their office.

I grew up in Haiti, where goon squads roamed the streets. The Ton-Ton Macoutes wore mirrored sunglasses and carried machetes. They disappeared people into torture chambers, never to be heard from or seen again. Now that is happening in the United States. I will not wait for them to come for me.

I will act, and I hope you will too. Stand back, and stand by for we are legion, and the parasites must be dealt with before they consume the host in its entirety. I want to live in a USA that values human rights. I believe in a nation that has rule of law and equality for all humans. It is unacceptable to allow thugs to snatch anyone off the streets and disappear them into a torture camp to be murdered.

This will not stand. I hope you will join me in the fight, because that is what is happening.

Then they came for everyone else

To speak out for me

Fuck Donald Trump and everyone who supports his monstrous evil. No one is coming to save us. Are we ready to save ourselves? Are we ready to disobey illegitimate claims of authority?
